Pronounced as Yo-so-me-tee National Park http://www.nps.gov/yose/, yosemite is the native name for grizzly bear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grizzly_bear . There's supposed to be Giant Redwood trees but too bad we didn't see any.
